How to get here
How can one get to Chios island? There are two ways: by plane or by boat.

There are daily flights from Athens airport by Olympic Air en.aegeanair.com ,Astra airlines & www.skyexpress.gr
also flights from Thesaloniki and Rhodes 2-3 times a week. This is the faster way, a flight from Athens lasts 35 minutes only.
- By ferry boat.
You can take the boat from Pireaus once a day (twice a day in the summer) from Blue star Ferrys or Hellenic Seaways or port of Kavala (operational only in the summer). The journey takes 4,5 to 9 hours depending on the type of the ship. There are also regular trips from Samos, Lesvos and Rhodes all year round. You can also come by boat from Cesme (Turkey) with a once a day service.
